It is famous for its striking dark orange to red-fleshed arils, intense sweetness, and pleasant aroma, earning it the nickname Chembarathi Varikka (hibiscus-colored). It is also known as Red Flesh Jackfruit, is a rare variety of jackfruit prized for its distinctive red-orange, sweet, and soft flesh. Each fruit weighs about 10-20 kg and a mature tree can produce up to 250 fruits per year. It typically starts to bear fruit in 2–3 years.
